WowMoms World—a family-focused business that combines early enrichment and physical activities for babies and young children—has opened its very first stateside location in Mineola. Based in Canada, WowMoms World currently has locations in Canada and Mexico, and now Long Island, with more to open later this year in Texas and Florida. The business also offers a wide range of fitness classes and has a health-oriented cafe and clothing boutique.
WowMoms World Long Island is run by Natalie Economou and offers an impressive range of programs for families, including swim classes and floatation therapy, designed for infants as young as four weeks old. Babies can “explore” the water in their own small pod of fresh water with a floatation device. It’s one of WowMoms’ most popular classes and has the added benefit of being an incredible baby sleep-aid.
“I have moms come in all the time and tell me that their baby immediately took a three-hour nap after floatation therapy,” says Economou.
Also on the roster are fitness classes for parents, classes for parents and children to take together, and classes just for kids, including music and yoga. There is also a cafe with vegan and gluten-free options and in-house massage therapy with specialists for pregnant women and babies. At the custom boutique, you can shop for carefully curated baby clothes and accessories from mom and pop retailers and small brands with a focus on sustainability.
WowMoms World offers a la carte classes to drop in for open-play, individual classes, or a monthly membership. For more information about WowMoms World and all of the class offerings, visit the WowMoms World website.
In the future, Economou and her staff hope to offer even more programming, including a sleep-training course for infants and toddlers and a paint night.
