YouTube Series Beats The Terrible Twos

Have you ever wanted to laugh at the ridiculous comments that your tot makes in day to day conversation? Canadian filmmaker Matthew Clarke realized that his daughter Coco’s accidentally hilarious soundbites were the perfect material for a web series. Reenacting their conversations with the help of his friend, actor David Milchard, Matthew’s  “Convos With My 2-Year Old”  is both incredibly funny and totally sweet.

The charm of the series lies in the fact that Milchard, who plays Coco in the reenactments, repeats Clark’s daughter’s commentary verbatim and without irony. And while you can imagine a two year old saying “I need to go to the store to get some gas prices,” watching a full grown man recite the lines while dresses in fairy wings emphasizes the ridiculousness of the talks you have with your little ones.

The series, which is now in its second season, is developing naturally as Coco gets older. The now 3-year-old is often featured in the episodes, wearing a similar outfit to what we see on Milchard later on in the clip. We can’t wait to see conversations with my 4-, 5-, and 6-year old!
